Introduction

Web Page Condominium News (WPCN) Inc. is a global condominium, strata and unit title resource and news center created for the benefit of home owners and their associations, property managers, strata agents, politicians, regulatory agencies, government departments, developers, real estate sales agents, researchers and the general public.

The Public Area of the Resource Center for various regions area include legislation, associations, news releases, articles, tips, links, trades, suppliers, publications and scheduled educational programs. The public areas also include a discussion board on regional and national issues, with frequent replies from trade and industry experts. The Public may access the non-proprietary section of the web page without requiring any access code.

The Proprietary Area of the site hosts the exclusive WPCN system providing all participating condominium and strata homeowner associations with full online interactive record storage and retrieval services including the new time saving Minute Builder Wizard(c). Owners within the subscribing Strata Corporations may select on their own to access the proprietary section of the web page by requesting a specific clearance level and a computer generated code.

Privacy Overview

WPCN is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Privacy Statement applies to the WPCN Web site and governs data collection and usage. By subscribing or using the WPCN website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information

At WPCN we receive and store your basic personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home address or telephone numbers only if your elect to provide same to WPCN.

Information about your computer hardware and software is also automatically collected by WPCN. Such information may include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by WPCN for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general internal statistics regarding use of the WPCN Web site.

It is important to note that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through WPCN Discussion Pages or Members Forums, this information may be collected and used by others. WPCN does not have access to nor read any of your private online e-mail communications.

As an internet user you are encouraged to review the Privacy Statements of Web sites you choose to link to from WPCN so you assess how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. WPCN is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites external to the WPCN Web site.

Personal Information Options

If you choose not to provide personal information, you can still use the Public Area of WPCN, but you will not be able to access areas or use features that require you to submit personal information, such as reviewing Minutes or other corporate documents for your Condominium or Strata Corporation.

You also have choices with respect to cookies. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies you will be unable to use those services of the WPCN that require registration in order to participate. You can still use some of the features of WPCN even if you do not accept cookies.

Use of your Personal Information

WPCN collects and uses your personal information only to operate the WPCN Web site and deliver the services you have requested.

WPCN does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.

WPCN does not collect, use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations.

WPCN keeps track of the Web sites and pages our subscribers and visitors visit within WPCN, in order to determine what WPCN services are the most popular. This information is used for research and development into additional features for WPCN.

Protecting Your Personal Information

WPCN is committed to ensuring the security of your personal information, and in that regard we will review our security systems on a regular basis.

We will do our best to ensure that your information is accurate and current. As a Member of a Subscribing Strata or Condominium Corporation it is also important that you enter, maintain and update your own personal information on WPCN to meet your own specific requirements. You may remove your name form the Membership Directory at any time by contacting WPCN at editor@wpcn.ca.

We will destroy, erase or make anonymous all documents or other records containing your personal information as soon as it is reasonable to assume that the original purpose is no longer being served by retention of the information, and retention is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes. WPCN will take due care when destroying personal information so as to prevent unauthorized access to the information.

Legal Requirements for Disclosure

WPCN will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on WPCN or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of WPCN; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of WPCN, or the public.

WPCN will occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect company and user feedback. WPCN encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how WPCN is protecting your information.

Accessing Your Information

You may request access to your personal information by contacting our Privacy Officer in writing. You also have the right to know:

• The methods by which we collected the information
• The purposes for which we are using the information, and
• To whom the information has been disclosed

Any request that you make should be sufficiently detailed so that we may properly respond to your request. When you make a request, we will require verification of your identity via two or commercially acceptable documents; such as driver license, passport or Social Insurance Card.

When providing your personal information, we will edit certain information as required or authorized by law, including the personal information of other individuals, information that may be subject to investigation, as well as any confidential commercial information.

If you believe that any of the information that we have collected about you is inaccurate or incomplete you have the right to ask us to change it. If you feel that we have not dealt with your request to your satisfaction, you are free to follow our complaint resolution process.

How to Register a Complaint

You may register a privacy related complaint by contacting WPCN's Privacy Officer. At that time, the Privacy Officer will review WPCN's complaint procedure with you and will investigate all complaints. If a complaint proves to be justified, we will take immediate and appropriate action.
